Users can choose to share real-time location with whom and for how long. Duration ranging from 15 minutes to hours, depending on needs. No need to worry about security, because WhatsApp guarantees that the shared location data has end-to-end encryption. So, how to operate Live Location? You can simply open a specific group or chat room in WhatsApp. Press the "attach" button and select the option "Share Live Location".
Choose how long you want to divide the real-time location and press "send". If you share it in a group, each member can view the location or track your real-time location. Other members can also share their real-time location at the same time.
WhatsApp will thrust those locations into a single digital map interface. This feature is actually not something new. Previously Google Maps had already presented similar features with the same mechanism. Live Location in WhatsApp itself has begun to be deployed today for a handful of people. The users as a whole, both iOS and Android users, are promised to be in the next few weeks.
